Brandon Valley placed in the middle of the pack in their season opener, the two-day Warrior-Lynx Invite. Day one of the tournament was played at Willow Run, and the 15-team tournament moved to the Brandon Golf Course for day two.
Brandon Valley football team took the field last week for their first practice in preparation for the 2017 season. Lynx head coach Chad Garrow has been busy all off-season trying to get his squad up to speed as he replaces 22 seniors from last year’s state-runner up team.

Tom Vining and Megan Mingo on Sunday were crowned champions of their respective SDGA State Amateur Golf Tournaments, which were played at the Brandon Golf Course. While the weather was ideal for golf on Friday and Saturday, Sunday’s rain presented challenges.
