The Lynx boys posted their best team score of the season, shooting 310 for a sixth-place finish at the Sept. 14 Mitchell Invitational. The Lynx were led by Austin Swenson, who carded a solid 73, landing him in a tie for sixth place in the 18-team tournament.
The Lady Lynx had a lopsided week of soccer action, toppling the Harrisburg Tigers 9-0 last Tuesday and losing 1-0 to Sioux Falls Lincoln two days later.
The Lynx out-sized, out-witted and simply out-played Rapid City Central (1-3) on the Cobblers’ home turf at O’Harra Stadium Friday. The end result was a lopsided 47-7 ending.
There’s a first time for everything, and for the Lady Lynx cross country team, their title win at Saturday’s Huron Invitational was a first for the program.
