Brandon Valley placed five student-athletes on the 2018 All-ESD Girls Soccer ream, tying Pierre and Yankton for the most athletes from one Eastern South Dakota Conference program.
After playing all the way through the loser’s bracket to the title game three years running, the Lady Lynx softball team fell a few wins shy this season, finishing fifth at the state fastpitch tournament Oct. 5-6 in Sioux Falls.
For the seventh straight year, Brandon Valley’s dance team was crowned grand champion of the Eastern South Dakota Conference, sweeping the jazz, kick and pom divisions Oct. 11 for their team-high 269.33 total.
The Splitrock Ladies bowled Oct. 9 with the following results: High team game, Rheault Ag Supply LLC, 864; High team series, Jesse James, 2,446; High individual game and series, Bonnie Kramer, 202 and 484.
If the McHardy Park course isn’t enough to test runners, Thursday’s bitter temperatures and windy conditions and the Lincoln Patriots all combined were enough to take the Metro Conference titles out of reach.
When it comes to the cross-country trail, where there’s one Wentzy sister, there’s likely to be another. And. On most race days, you’ll find the pint-sized Lady Lynx runners at the front of the pack.
