Brandon Valley’s varsity boys’ soccer team dropped its first two games of the season last week, breaking its win streak folloing a 2-1 loss Saturday to Brookings and 0-1 setback to Yankton Aug. 28.
Mere points kept Brandon Valley from notching a pair of wins - both by 3-0 margins - last week on the home court, the first to Sioux Falls Roosevelt and the next to Brookings. Roosevelt defeated the Lynx 25-19, 26-24, 25-23 and Brookings came out on top, 25-18, 25-21, 25-23.
With key players sidelined by injury, the Lady Lynx weren’t their usual selves against the number-one ranked Rough Riders in varsity softball action Thursday at Aspen Park.
