Authorities believe two drive-by shootings targeting members of a Rock Valley, Iowa, church may have been just beginning of a bigger and more dangerous plan for two Brandon residents.
Tim Wakefield Jr. is the third Ward 3 resident to submit an expression of interest form for the now-vacant Ward 3 chair on the Brandon City Council. Wakefield, a process engineer, who resides at 1820 N. Plum Ave., handed in his application last week.
If all the pieces and paperwork fall into place, Brandon’s post office will be moving to the proposed Alliance Plaza development at Splitrock and Aspen boulevards in 2018.
As Brandon looks at buying a $30,000 part to repair its primary water source, well 6, the water development committee takes a closer look at the aquifers supplying that water.
