Tail Waggin’ Tutors at Brandon Library
Tail Waggin’ Tutors, a program where children read aloud to a certified therapy dog – in this instance, Evie – is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1. Register online (siouxlandlib.org) to schedule a 15-minute session. Tail Waggin’ Tutors is designed for kids ages K-5.
Claire Ode Benefit
is Feb. 2
A benefit is planned from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2 at Shenanigan’s, 1903 S. Ellis Road, Sioux Falls, on behalf of Claire Ode. Tickets are $20 and includes a walking taco bar and keg beer. There will also be a silent auction. Proceeds will go toward Claire’s travel expenses, DIEP Flap surgery and her recovery.

Brandon Library Book Club returns Feb. 6
A book club for adults is returning to the Brandon Community Library from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6. Participants will gather in the conference room to discuss the assigned book.

Legislative Coffee is Feb. 8 at Bethany Meadows
Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Legislative Coffee from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 in the Community Room at Bethany Meadows. District 2 Legislators, Senator Steve Kolbeck and Representatives John Sjaarda and Dave Kull, will update constituents on the 100th Legislative Session, which began Jan. 14.
The event is free and open to the public.
Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry
Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are pancake mix, syrup, boxes/envelopes of instant potatoes, small boxes of fruit snacks, Sidedishes (noodles and rice), ketchup, mustard, boxes of individual hot cocoa mix, instant oatmeal, Kleenex and paper towels.
To make appointments for pickups or donations, call 582-7001. The BAFP is open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Wild Game Feed is Feb. 8 at VFW
The 40th annual Ed Polzine Wild Game Feed is Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Brandon VFW. The event offers a buffet of wild game entrees, raffles, a live auction, kid’s spin wheel for prizes, and more. Serving begins at 5:30 p.m. A free will donation will be taken.
