Aug. 9 golf benefit for Chris Terveer
A 4-person golf scramble benefit for Chris Terveer is set for Friday, Aug. 9 at Hidden Valley Golf Course in Brandon. Cost is $200 per team and includes cart and meal. Teams will tee off at 3 p.m. and the social hour/meal follows at 6 p.m. There is a $10 charge for the meal for non-golfers.
A silent auction from 6-7:30 p.m. follows and bidding ends at 7:30 p.m.

BVSD bus pass
deadline is Friday
This Friday is the deadline to purchase bus passes to assure first day of school ridership. Bus passes are purchased on a “yearly” basis. The cost per student is $175 for the school year, with a family maximum of $400.
For out-of-district open-enrolled students, the annual cost is $325 per student. There is no family maximum for out-of-district riders.
The final open house is from 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 26 at the transportation facility, 812 E. Redwood Blvd. Tickets may also be purchased online at the BVSD Webmall.
Bus passes purchased after the July 26 deadline will not be eligible for transportation earlier than Monday, Sept. 30.

MCAP Clean-Up
Days planned
Have a yearn to clean – and volunteer? Then the Mighty Corson Art Players has the opportunity to do both on July 27 and 28. During the two-day clean-up, volunteers will organize costumes, props, lumber, etc., clean and paint the Corson Theatre, clean and repair the tech booth, etc.

Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry
Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are bottled juice, microwave popcorn, envelopes of muffin mixes, small boxes of PopTarts, Manwich, Hamburger Helper, small cans of beef stew, box mix of Jello and pudding, granola bars, Kleenex.
To make appointments for pickups or donations, call 582-7001. The BAFP is open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Used eye glasses and hearing aids for the Brandon Lions Club may also be dropped off at the BAFP.
