Supe's On: BVSD celebrates American Education Week

By:
Dr. Jarod Larson, BVSD superintendent

American Education Week is Nov. 15-19.

Across our great country, communities celebrate America’s public education system during American Education Week. The process of educating our youth takes many individuals, serving in a wide variety of roles. Each of those roles play a critical part in our ability to educate our children. Every day within our schools, staff work with students to promote positive learning experiences and create learning environments that result in success. Each individual within our school system plays a critical part in our ability to educate our 4,915 Lynx.

To all the individuals working within the Brandon Valley School District and all the other schools across the country – Thank You! Your work makes educating our children possible.

Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the fall Brandon Valley theater department performance of Adventures Through Wonderland. It was a visual spectacle and nothing short of fantastic. Utilizing puppets and lighting, the cast and crew brought the adaptation from Lewis Carroll’s timeless classics Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass to life on our stage. Congratulations on a fantastic production to the cast, crew, and directors.

There will be no school in the Brandon Valley School District for Thanksgiving break Nov. 24-26.

Go Lynx!
