Rhonda Kay Mack, 67

Rhonda Kay Mack, 67, Brandon, S.D., was born to Barney and Helen (Leonard) Hoffman of Grand Junction, Iowa, on Aug. 30, 1953. Rhonda courageously battled lung cancer over the past two years, keeping her positive spirit throughout. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021.
 
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, at Brandon Lutheran Church with funeral services beginning at 6 p.m. Masks are required and social distancing will be followed. A livestreaming link will be provided as well.
 
Rhonda’s strength was admired by all. Her warrior spirit shines through her children and granddaughters. Her empathy and compassion created lasting bonds with family and friends near and far. Rhonda enjoyed motorcycle rides with her husband, family vacations and spoiling her granddaughters.  
 
She is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, Shannon; son, Randy (Seema) Mack of Chicago, Ill.; daughter, Cassie (Matt) Fehlen of Minneapolis, Minn.; two granddaughters, Sloane and Reese Mack of Chicago, Ill.; siblings, Gary (Susan) Hoffman of Jefferson, Iowa, DeAnn (Mike) Scharingson, Marty (Linda) Hoffman, Denise (Hugh) Gannon, and Marc (Jacque) Hoffman, all of Grand Junction, Iowa, and Tracy (Todd) Brelsford of Ogden, Iowa.  
 
Rhonda will always be a guiding light for her family because she will always live in our hearts and guide us in life. In this difficult time, her family celebrates her legacy and honors her life.
