Michael D. Bosch, 46

Michael D. Bosch, 46, of Valley Springs, S.D., passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. His funeral service was held Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Living Springs Church in Brandon. Visitation was held Friday, March 12, 2021, also at the George Boom Funeral Chapel in Brandon.

Michael Dean Bosch was born on July 14, 1974 to Gary and Cherlyn (Rozeboom) Bosch and raised on various farms in the Valley Springs, S.D., area. As a child, he was full of mischief and has not changed. In high school, he was involved in wrestling, football, basketball, baseball and softball. He farmed with his father, Gary, beginning at the age of 1 being in the tractor with his Dad. As a child, if one could not find him, he was in his father’s shadow.  He continued farming with his father and later began Lawn Rangers in 2008. His father went to be with the Lord in 2008 and Mike began managing the farm. Finally, a very hard decision had to be made as to whether to continue farming or grow Lawn Rangers. He decided to continue to grow Lawn Rangers.

Mike enjoyed sports as an adult by playing softball, bowling, darts and golfing. He loved to tease people and had a way with children as his father and grandfather, Gerald, did. Mike continued growing his business, helped his mom, sister, friends and in 2016 built a shop on his property.

He loved having people over to the shop for meals, darts and visiting. Beginning in 2018, his sister, Tammy Lynn became his business partner in Lawn Rangers and added an irrigation division, which she managed. Michael began a new endeavor (Redneck Saltwater) in 2020 with his good friend, Aaron Larsen, by purchasing homes to flip.  Mike’s girlfriend, Dawn Lunstra, has added so much joy to his life as he did to hers. Dawn even got him to go on a vacation for the first time in a very long time by going to the Black Hills; they had a great time. Together they had so many future plans. Mike showed his love by doing things for people. If you had a problem, he would be there to help. Some days he could exasperate us and others he brought us joy. We celebrate the many years and good times we’ve had with him. We will treasure his memory as he treasured us.

Left to cherish his memory are his girlfriend, Dawn Lunstra; her children, Jessi (Ryley) Curtis and their son, Hoytt; Nick Lunstra (Taylor Kuper) and their son, Ryver, and a special child he loved, Carter; his mother, Cherlyn Bosch; his sister, Tammy Lynn Bosch (Daniel Ackerman); aunts, Marilyn Bosch, Michelle Rozeboom, and Dolly (Tom) Van Der Weerd; uncles, Loren (Tracy) Bosch, Brad (Tammy) Bosch, Harley Rozeboom, Al (Denise) Rozeboom; a host of cousins, and many great friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Bosch; grandfathers, Gerald Bosch and Jim Rozeboom; grandmothers, Vivian Bosch and Edith Rozeboom; uncle, Bert Rozeboom; cousin, Angie Rozeboom; and special friend, Steven Ackerman.
