USD medical students learn post-graduate

destinations at

Match Day 2025

University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine Pillar 3 students received their post-graduate assignments on Match Day, held on March 21. 

The 63 new doctors, following graduation in May, will move on to the next stage of their training at clinics, hospitals and health care facilities across the nation.

Hannah Paauw, a Brandon Valley High School alum, was matched with University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where she will concentrate on internal medicine-psychiatry.

Nationally, a record-high 52,498 applicants registered in the 2025 Main Residency Match from all U.S. medical schools and some international medical schools, vying for 43,237 residency positions in the U.S.
