Schroder awarded Master’s Degree from Northwestern College
Jayde Schroder, Brandon, was among 31 students who were awarded a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Northwestern College, Orange City, Iowa, during commencement ceremonies on Aug. 10.
Dr. Gregory Kosters, an osteopathic family practice physician in Sibley, Iowa, gave the commencement address. The regional director of medical quality for Avera Medical Group, based out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, he also serves as a pathophysiology instructor for Northwestern’s PA program.
Schroder was a member of the third cohort of students in Northwestern’s 27-month graduate program. Students learned evidence-based medicine and developed the skills needed to work on health care teams in diverse settings, including primary care and family medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, behavioral health and sub-specialty areas. The faith-based program included four terms of face-to-face training followed by three terms of clinical rotations with concurrent online courses designed to facilitate the integration of classroom material with clinical experiences.
Ray graduates from UN-Lincoln in August
Chad Ray, of Brandon, was one of 574 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students to be awarded a degree during a combine graduate and undergraduate commencement ceremony Aug. 17. Ray earned a Master of Arts in Graduate Studies.
