Four Lynx runners named

Academic All-State Award winners

Four senior cross country runners have been named Academic All-State Award winners following the 2024 season. 

They are Sarah VanDeBerg, Morgan Becker, Lilian Dirksen and Logan Brakke.

Requirements for the award is the student-athlete must be a senior, have a 3.5 GPOA or higher, competed in the sport for at least three years, and be nominated by their head coach. BV’s head coach is Tony Thoreson.

Splitrock Ladies Bowling League results

The Splitrock Ladies bowled on Oct. 29, with the following results: High Team Game, Jesse James, 863; High Team Series, Rock River Ag, LLC, 2,459; High Individual Game & Series, Marcia Bork, 199, which was 53 pins over her average and 522. 

Marcia Bork and Julaine Walker both picked up the 3-10 split; Bonnie Kramer picked up the 6-7 split; Cheryl Scholl picked up the 4-5 split; Amanda Lumpkin and Marlene Blum both picked up the 5-10 split; Brenda Jones picked up the 2-7 and the 3-10 split twice; Barb Caffrey picked up the 7-8 split; Bonnie Bruggeman picked up the 9-10 split; Kathie Franz picked up the 6-7-10 and 3-10 splits; and Lois Leslie picked up the 2-7 split.
