Letters to the Editor - Kohler: Say ‘no’ to RL 21

For everyone that knows a farmer or is just concerned with the health of the South Dakota farm community, or for anyone unsure what RL 21 and the CO2 Pipeline is all about, it’s of the utmost importance that we cut through the clutter and get right to the bottom line on RL 21.

There have been TB ads running constantly claiming that the CO2 pipeline is the best thing EVER and that it will do everything except clean your toilet. They make it sound like a win for everyone. But just stop and think about that for a minute. If the pipeline proponents can run these ads multiple times every day and night, day after day, week after week, there is big money behind them. That means it’s not the farmers running the ads.

For every farmer that thinks this is a win/win, there are many, many more that don’t agree. If the CO2 pipeline was truly a good deal for the average farmer, we would all be on board and there would be no need for it to be on the ballot. 

Remember the old adage, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Please vote NO on RL 21.
