Just Cure It for kids with cancer

Sanford Children’s Miracle Network is the recipient of $2,686.77 from Brandon Valley High School’s fundraising efforts for the Just Cure It cause. BV volleyball organized the sale of “Together We Fight” t-shirts, of which 386 shirts were purchased. Five dollars from every shirt purchased was donated to the CMN. In addition, buckets were passed through the crowd on Just Cure It Night at both the home volleyball and football games that week. The three seniors on the Lady Lynx volleyball team – Alli Gawarecki, Sydney Benson and Lexi Gawarecki – present the donation to Ashton Siebrecht, development officer with the Sanford Health Foundation. Siebrecht said the funds “stay 100 percent local” in the ongoing fight to cure kids’ cancer.
