Drive-by Easter greetings

Jill Meier/BV Journal

When it comes to expressing their love for Easter – and the true meaning behind the holiday – Karissa Roetman and her daughter, Kambrie, 8, shared their holiday greetings in chalk on their wooden fence along Sioux Boulevard. The mother-daughter started the fence artwork at Easter during the Covid-19 pandemic and have continued to make it a tradition. On Friday afternoon, Karissa said they’d heard a few honks in recent days. “I think this is our best work yet,” she said.
