Brandon business fails alcohol check

Three businesses in Dell Rapids and one in both Baltic and Brandon, failed an alcohol compliance check April 18 after they allegedly sold alcohol to minors.
Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office conducted checks in 69 businesses in the county last week. The five that failed include the Pizza Ranch, Casey’s General Store and Cubby’s, all in Dell Rapids; Classic Corner in Baltic; and Sunshine Foods in Brandon.
Alcohol compliance checks are conducted periodically to ensure businesses are following the law prohibiting the sale of alcohol to people under the age of 21.
