Sydney Griffin, 7, concentrates on coloring what will become a bracelet. Ernes Otagic, a third-grader at Brandon Elementary, created an impressive Super Mario World Lego display.

Artwork, including this painting (above) by Brandon Valley senior Savanna Wagner, titled “Diva”, were on display at the Districtwide Fine Arts Night. Abbe Kolar and her sons, Rhett and Gannon, prepare to paint clay molds of South Dakota.

Teri Van Den Top (above)helps a youngster put the finishing touches on a faux stained-glass flower at Brandon Valley’s Districtwide Fine Arts Night on March 24. Roxie Geerdes (at left) instructs two boys on how to make colorful bracelets. Hundreds of families took in the multi-hour event that filled the Commons, two gymnasiums, the library and a few other rooms with art displays and hands-on art projects. Staff from throughout the BV School District supervise the various stations, and supplies are compliments of the BV Fine Arts Boosters.  (see more photos in our photo gallery)
