Navarro Schunke has been a non-stop highlight reel for Brandon Valley over the past several years. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound senior has been a force in both wrestling and football.
And once again, they did it in a near flawless manner to bring home Brandon Valley’s first state championship since 1998 and their first in Class 11AAA.
Seven players on Brandon Valley’s 2018 football roster have garnered 2018 Metro Athletic All-Conference Team accolades. Five players were named to the First Team and two are honorable mention selectees.
Brandon Valley racked up 288 yards in their ground game and tacked on another 104 yards in their passing game en route to a 40-8 11AAA state quarterfinal win over Rapid City Central on Oct. 25.
