World Events

Our world has been rocked by the events of the past week. The continued assault on the Ukrainian Nation by Russia, the murder of black grocery shoppers in Buffalo, N.Y. Increasingly, our population takes these notable events in stride – just another day.

When does this end? When is enough is enough?

So long as the events don’t affect us directly we kind of sort of look the other way. That is the way it seems. Back out of Ukraine from this conversation, the murders of blacks by whites, the murders of whites by blacks (previously) only have a way of escalating that none of us want.

Enough is enough.

This new show is coming to an environment close to each and every one of us. Regardless of race or political affiliation, it seems we are being manipulated into some sort of confrontation. Choose between what you see as right versus wrong; that what you understand versus that you don’t. And it seems that this choice is pushed by the extreme forces of both left and right. Is it that simple?

What about those (I believe an overwhelming majority) of us that understand the situation and do not want to take unyielding sides? That want to build rather than destroy; want to embrace our neighbor, not attack.

That good heart has to be fostered. Understanding promoted. Debate embraced. Our future depends on it. Desperately.
