VS Auxiliary plans feather party

The Charles R. Doman American Legion Auxiliary Unit #131 in Valley Springs held its monthly meeting Monday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. Old business discussed included highlights from the fall district meeting, the poppy order for next year, and the possibility of purchasing a fireproof safe for the old secretary and historian books. New business discussed included the meal for the upcoming feather party.

The Valley Springs American Legion and Auxiliary feather party will be Saturday, Nov. 18. The Auxiliary will serve a dinner of turkey sandwiches, stuffing, baked beans, and chips with beverage choices of pop, coffee, and bottled water. Serving will begin at 6 p.m.

The Auxiliary will meet next 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20.
