Funeral services for Vernon Pekas, 88, of Brandon, SD, were held Friday, Dec. 1, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. Interment services were held at the Menno Cemetery in Menno, following the funeral service.

Mr. Pekas died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 at Helping Hands Assisted Living in Brandon.

He is survived by his son, Gary (Sue) Pekas of Brandon; three grandchildren, Tawny (Andrew) Schotzko, Nathan (Christina) Perkas, Brittany (Derek) Layher; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and a host of relatives and friends.
