Valley Springs ALA presents patriotic puppets

The American Legion Auxiliary Department of South Dakota welcomed national president Kathy Dungan on a tour of several states. On Sunday, Sept. 9, the Sioux Falls Auxiliary hosted a meet-and-greet. On Monday, Sept. 10, Dugan toured the Sioux Falls VA Hospital and attended a lunch in Dell Rapids.
The Valley Springs Auxiliary was represented at the luncheon, presenting two patriotic puppet shows for the national president. For the first show, about military dogs, Valley Springs ALA President Gloria Bonjour was assisted by Dell Rapids co-president Teresa Huntimer. The second show, on Veterans Day, featured Valley Springs member Noelle Bonjour and Dell Rapids Legion Commander Jack Majeres.
After Dell Rapids, Dungan continued on to Brookings and West River Legion Auxiliaries.
