This is us: Brandon Valley Journal editorial

This issue of the Brandon Valley Journal is our final sample copy, and we hope we’ve given you a taste of what’s to come.
We’ve promised local news, features and sports, and we believe we’ve delivered just that in our first two issues. That’s just what we intend to deliver moving foward, and we don’t want you to miss a single isssue, including our upcoming BV Lynx fall sports special section on Aug. 23.
But if we’re going to be truly local, we need your help, too. We need you to keep us in the know of happenings in your business, the city, civic organizations, our schools, churches and the like. When you’re planning your event, remember to notify the Journal; the sooner we know about it, the sooner we can put it on our calendars.
We’re looking for your help in other ways, too.
If there’s a milestone anniversary or birthday, submit it.
If there’s an engagement or a wedding in the family, submit it.
If there’s a new arrival to your family, submit it.
If your student has made the dean’s list, let their college know to notify us.
If you’re venturing out, take the Journal along for the journey, snap a photo, offer a few details and, as you guessed, submit it.
And, of course, if you have something to advertise, call. We want to help you sell it or put people in the seats of your next event.
This is us, Brandon Valley, and while our staff may be small – Jill Meier (editor), Cat Clark (advertising), Jamie Hult (reporter), Erin Harris (graphics), Jenna Kasse (office manager) – we’re big about delivering you quality local news and advertising in our weekly print and online products.
