Together we can fight potential spread of virus

There are two minor changes being made to our 21-22 Pandemic Response Plan. The changes to the Close Contact Protocol and Positive Case Communication are very similar to the protocols that were used last school year. The changes went into effect Tuesday, Sept. 7. First and foremost, this pivot is not the result of a COVID-19 issue within our schools. Last week, our local healthcare systems provided information regarding the COVID-19 Delta variant, an anticipated fall surge, and our communities best defenses.

These protocol changes will allow us to strategically reduce the potential for spread.

Close Contact Protocol (CHANGE Effective 9/7/21)

An individual identified as a “close contact” (within 6 feet for 15 minutes) may continue to attend school, but is required to pre-screen, remain asymptomatic, and is required to mask for 14 days from the date of last exposure.

Positive Case Communication (CHANGE Effective 9/27/21)

In the event of a confirmed positive COVID-19 case resulting in a potential exposure, within a building, 1.) Close Contacts will be informed by Student Health Services and 2.) a building-level communication will be provided to parents / guardians.

TOGETHER: We can be RESPECTFUL of one another and personal decisions. Take RESPONSIBILITY for maintaining healthy habits. Comply with the need for additional Close Contact Protocols to promote a SAFE student and staff learning environment. Maintain our laser-focused commitment to being ACTIVE LEARNERS, and above all be KIND to one another.
