BAFP’s December needs
The needs for December at the Brandon Area Food Pantry are laundry detergent, shampoo,Kleenex, fruit snacks, cookies. bottled juice. We continue to have an ample supply of canned vegetables, fruits and soups.
Before donating, please check expiration dates and that cans are not bulging from age and/or freezing. Monetary donations are also appreciated.
The BAFP also accepts used eye glasses and hearing aids for the Brandon Lions Club. The BAFP is open 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 406 Main Ave.

Brandon Lutheran WELCA Advent Brunch
Brandon Lutheran’s Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (WELCA) will host its annual Advent Brunch starting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at the church. Tickets are $8 each and may be puchased before/after Wednesday evening worship. 
The event includes devotions and prayer, brunch, door prizes, entertainment by Will & Howard and raffles.

Christmas Bible School at Celebration
Celebration Church in Brandon invites youth from the community to Christmas Bible School from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7. Register online at celebrationbrandon.org.
CBS is a one-day event geared to children PreK-fifth grade. The event includes Christmas songs and bringing the Christmas story to life through interactive story time and projects.
 
Annual Cookie
Parade, Lunch & Fair
Risen Savior Parish in Brandon will host their annual Cookie Parade, Lunch and Fair from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at the church, 301 N. Splitrock Blvd. The event offers an array of cookies and candies for sale, lunch, and an assortment of vendors. 
 
Photos with Santa at Bottoms Up
Santa Claus will be making a stop from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 at Bottoms Up, 25989 482nd Ave., Corson.
The jolly old elf will be available for photos and goodies will be served. Parents are encouraged to bring their own cameras to snap away, but Santa does request that donations be made to help the Pink Ladies cause, which is aiding those in the area fighting cancer.
