BVMS students
take PAC stage with “Holly Jollies”
The public is invited to “Holly Jollies,” which will be performed by Brandon Valley Middle School students at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22 at the Performing Arts Center. Admission is free.
 
Children’s Choristers, Choir to perform
The Brandon Area Children’s Choristers and Choir will be presenting three performances on Saturday, Nov. 23. At 1 p.m. they will be at Helping Hands Assisted Living and at 2 p.m. at Bethany Meadows. On Sunday, Nov. 24, they will perform in concert at 3 p.m. at Brandon Lutheran Church. All performances are free and open to the public.
The Choristers are singers in grades K-2 and the Children’s Choir are singers in grades 3-6.  The choirs are directed by Del Hubers and accompanied by Gingi Hanson.
 
Legion’s Feather
Party is Saturday
Valley Springs American Legion Post’s annual Feather Party is Saturday, Nov. 23. The Auxiliary will begin food sales at 5:30 p.m. and games of chance and Bingo will start at 6:30 p.m. Bingo will be played until 10 p.m. and the game of chance room and bar will be open from 6:30 p.m. on. The drawing for the Henry Golden Boy 22 caliber rifle is planned for 9:30 p.m., followed by drawings for additional raffles. 
 
Holiday Vendor Fair & Bake Sale
The Dynamic Dance Booster Club will host a Holiday Vendor Fair and Bake Sale from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 at Brandon Lutheran Church.
Dynamic Dance Boosters is also staging a laundry detergent drive that day on behalf of the Brandon Area Food Pantry.
 
Red State Christians author talk
The public is invited to A Conversation with the Author, Pastor Angel Denker, of “Red State Christians: Understanding the Voters Who Elected Donald Trump” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 at Brandon Lutheran Church, 600 E. Holly Blvd.
 
Christmas Lights Parade returns
Parade entries are being sought for the Brandon VFW organized Christmas Lights Parade. Scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 from the parking lot at Brandon Valley High School, the parade route heads west on Holly Boulevard to Main Avenue, ending at the VFW. Santa and hot chocolate will be at the VFW after the parade.
