BAFP’s April needs
The needs for April are assorted seasoning mixes (taco meat, gravies, etc.), bagged pastas, brown sugar, chocolate chips, Suddenly Salad and salt and pepper shaker sets.
The BAFP is also accepting used eye glasses and hearing aids on behalf of the Brandon Lions Club.
The BAFP is open 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 406 Main Ave. To learn more, call 605-582-7001.
 
Disrict-wide Percussion Night
Brandon Valley’s district-wide percussion night begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 11 in the auxiliary gym at Brandon Valley High School. The night will feature short performances by the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grade percussion ensembles, along with the BV Winter Ensemble taking the floor to present “Hands” for the final time.
Admission is free.
 
Easter Bunny Storytime at Library
Good times ahead for fans of the Easter Bunny and Family Storytime at the Brandon Community Library. In partnership with Brandon EDGE, they’ll be together at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, April 13.
Parents are invited to bring cameras for a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny.

Easter Egg Hunt in Valley Springs
Valley Springs Community Club’s annual Easter Egg Hunt begins at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13, on the grounds of Valley Springs Elementary.
Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras for a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny.
 
BVMS Spring Fling
“Aloha Nights” is the theme chosen for this year’s Spring Fling on Friday, April 12 at Brandon Valley Middle School.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for the art show, followed by the talent show at 6:30 p.m. and the dance from 7:45-9:15 p.m. Cost is $5 for students and adults.
The event is hosted by the BVMS PTO.
