Easter Bunny

Storytime at Brandon Library

Good times are ahead for fans of the Easter Bunny and Family Storytime at the Brandon Community Library. In partnership with Brandon EDGE, they’ll be together at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, April 13.

Parents are invited to bring cameras for a photo-op with the Easter Bunny.

Absentee voting now open for mayoral election

Registered voters in Brandon can now vote in the city’s mayoral election by absentee ballot. Absentee voting is available at City Hall, 304 S. Main Ave., during business hours, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays.

Voters need to present an accepted form of photo identification.

Risen Savior cantata

The Risen Savior Catholic Church choir will present “We Were There,” a Lenten cantata, at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at the church, with a potluck to follow. The cantata will also be presented 7 p.m. Monday, April 8, at St. Michael’s, Sioux Falls, and 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at Bethany Meadows, Brandon. Admission is free.

BAFP’s April needs

The needs for April are assorted seasoning mixes (taco meat, gravies, etc.), bagged pastas, brown sugar, chocolate chips, Suddenly Salad and salt & pepper shaker sets.

Before donating food items, please check expiration dates and that cans are not bulging from age and/or freezing. Monetary donations are also appreciated.

The BAFP is also accepting used eye glasses and hearing aids on behalf of the Brandon Lions Club.
