Brandon Fire Dept. Pancake breakfast
Brandon Fire Department will serve up their annual Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7 at the Brandon Fire Hall. A free will offering will be taken.
 
Fall info and Financial Aid Night
Brandon Valley High School counselors will host a Fall Informational and Financial Aid Night starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 in the Performing Arts Center. Counselors will present information from 6-6:30 and presenters from the University Center’s Financial Aid Department follows from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Students in grades 10-12 and parents are encouraged to attend. 
 
Adult Open Gym
Adult open gym will be held on Wednesdays in the Brandon Valley High School Auxiliary Gym from 6:30-8:30 p.m. through April, depending on participation. Cost is $5 for one night or $20 for the whole session. Please enter on the east side of the high school. 
 
Brandon leaf drop-off days
City of Brandon is sponsoring its annual free leaf drop off days once again this year. From 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturdays, Oct. 20 and Nov. 3 and 17, Brandon residents are invited to bring bags and cans of leaves to Sunshine Foods parking lot. Marv’s Sanitary will have Dumpsters and on site. Only leaves and mulch will be accepted, no branches.
 
Bottoms Up Pink Ladies 5K run/walk
Bottoms Up Pink Ladies will host a Halloween Close Enough 5K Run/Walk from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27. Participants are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes.
Cost is $25 for adults (includes t-shirt and one free drink card); children are free or $15 (for t-shirt).
Registration begins 1 p.m. on the day of the event at Bottoms Up.
