Brandon Community Foundation Grants

Brandon Community Foundation grant applications are being accepted through 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28. Recipients must be a Brandon or Valley Springs charity. Applications may be downloaded from the BCF website, brandoncf.org. Completed applications should be mailed to Brandon Area Community Fund – Chair, P.O. Box 816, Brandon, SD 57005.

The grant awards will be presented at the BCF’s annual Oak & Vine, which is Friday, Oct. 26 at the Brandon Holiday Inn.

BVHS laptop checkout

Brandon Valley High School freshmen will checkout their laptops during Freshman Unity Day on Wednesday, Aug. 15. Sophomores, juniors and seniors will checkout their laptops Monday, Aug. 20 from 8-11:45 a.m. and 1-3:30 p.m. from room 121/128.

Today is final day to register for citywide fall rummage sales

Aug. 15 is the final day registrations will be accepted for Brandon’s ninth annual citywide fall rummage sales on Friday, Aug. 24 and Saturday, Aug. 25. There is a $10 fee and registration and payment must be received by Aug. 15.

MCAP auditions set

Auditions for the Mighty Corson Art Players’ upcoming production of The 39 Steps will be held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16 and 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 at the Corson Playhouse, 25993 482nd Ave. The 39 Steps is a fast-paced whodunit, requiring a cast of four who play 150 different characters.

Brandon Area Prayer Breakfast

Brandon Area Prayer Breakfast is set for 7 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, in the BV High School Commons. Tickets are $10 each or $75 for a table of eight.
