Brandon lawn watering program

As of Tuesday, June 5, we are in Stage One.

Users with even-numbered addresses shall water lawns on even-numbered calendar dates, and users with odd-numbered addresses on odd-numbered calendar dates. No watering between the hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

Scooter’s Coffee adds live music nights

Scooter’s Coffee Summer After Hours will feature artists playing live music from 8-9:30 p.m. on Thursdays June 14 and 28; July 12 and 26; and Aug. 9 and 23.

Valley Springs Legion BBQ fundraiser

Charles R. Doman American Legion Post 131 will host their first barbeque fundraiser of the summer from 5-7 p.m. Friday, June 15 at the Post home.

Hamburgers and hot dogs will be hot off the grill in addition to calico beans, chips and drinks. 

Proceeds will go to the east room furnace replacement fund.

 

Brandon Museum open house

The public is invited to the Brandon Area Museum open house from 4-5 p.m. Thursday, June 21. The museum is located at 109 N. Pipestone. Refreshments will be served. The Brandon Historical Society moved into the city-owned building about a year ago. The building is the former location of the BV Area Chamber of Commerce.

 

VS Legion rifle raffle

Raffle tickets for a Ruger 22 caliber magnum Farmer’s Edition rifle may be purchased from any member of the Charles R. Doman American Legion Post 131. 

The winner of the rifle will be drawn at the Post home following the Booster Days Parade on July 14. Tickets are $10 each and only 120 tickets will be sold.

 

BVHA selling raffle tickets for boat

Brandon Valley Hockey Association is selling raffle tickets for a 2018 Lund 1650 boat, 60HP Mercury motor and Shorelander Trailer, and more. Tickets are $20 each and may be purchased from any BV IceCat player or email info@brandonvalleyhockey.com.

The raffle prize drawing date is July 15.
