Brandon Lutheran WELCA Advent Brunch
Brandon Lutheran Church’s WELCA group will host its annual Advent Brunch from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at the church. The Hallelujah Hooligans will be the featured entertainment, in addition to raffles and a Love Gift offering for a local need in the community. Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased by calling Barb Buck at (605) 582-7477.
Holidazzle is Dec. 3
The 17th annual Holidazzle Cheer and Dance Competition begins at 7 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at Brandon Valley High School. The competition will feature All-Star Prep and All-Star Elite cheerleading and dance performances by teams, ensembles and solos in Tiny, Mini, Youth, Junior and Senior divisions.
The event is hosted by the Brandon Valley High School cheer and dance programs.
Dec. 10 holiday open house at Therapy
Unlimited
The McCrossan Boys Ranch hitch team will be giving horse-powered wagon rides from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 in Brandon. The wagon rides are part of the holiday open house at Therapy Unlimited, 1402 E. Cedar St. Rides will be about 20 minutes in length and will be given on a first come, first serve basis. Therapy Unlimited also has a holiday kids’ craft planned and will serve refreshments.
Santa Claus Day in Valley Springs
The Valley Springs Community Club will host its annual Santa Claus Day at the Legion Hall beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17. Santa will make a special appearance and have gifts for all of the kiddos. It’s also an opportune time to take those long-cherished photos with Santa.
Circuit collecting
winter wear for St. Francis House
Donations for Circuit Martial Arts and Fitness’s warm weather collection drive for residents of the St. Francis House in Sioux Falls may be dropped off at Circuit from 3-7 p.m. weekdays through Dec. 17. New and/or used items needed include hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, boots, jackets, blankets, sweaters and socks.

Nominations for 2023 induction into the Brandon Valley Athletic Hall of Fame are being accepted through Dec. 19.
