Brandon Edge sandbox fill is May 19

Brandon Edge, a youth-focused community service group, is taking orders for their annual sandbox fill on Saturday, May 19. Deliveries will be made that day from 8:30 a.m. until approximately 1 p.m. The first four full wheelbarrows are $25. Additional sand is $5 per full wheelbarrow.

Deliveries are limited to the Brandon city limits.

To schedule a delivery online, visit Brandonedge.webs.com. Payment may be made online, mailed to P.O. Bo 157, Brandon, SD 57005, orpaid the day of delivery.

Physicals needed for 2018-19 BVHS, BVMS athletic, band programs

All incoming 7-12th grade students who plan to participate in Brandon Valley athletics and/or marching band during the 2018-19 school year must have a new physical on or after April 1, 2018, using BV’s two-page physical form. This form is available on the BVHS website, at both Brandon medical clinics and the middle school and high school offices.

When the form has been completed, parent(s) and/or guardian are stating they’ve also completed the Family Access update/verification process for the 2018-19 school year, including emergency contact information and permission to print student information used for team travel, printed rosters and standard media coverage. This may require parents/guardians to revisit Family Access when annual update request form is received from the Central Office.

BAFP’s May needs

The Brandon Area Food Pantry needs for May are grape and strawberry jams/jellies, pancake mix and syrup, Pop Tarts, beef stew, sloppy joe mix and fruit snacks.

Before donating food items, please check expiration dates. Monetary donations are also appreciated.

The BAFP is also accepting used eye glasses and hearing aids on behalf of the Brandon Lions Club.
