BCF Oak & Vine is this Friday

Join the Brandon Community Foundation in celebration at the annual Oak & Vine from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 at the Holiday Inn in Brandon. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $40 per person or $400 for a table of 10. To  purchase tickets or make a donation to the Brandon Community Foundation, visit brandoncf.org. 

The BCF was established in 2006 and to date has shared more than $315,000 in community grants. This year, 20 non-profit organizations will share in more than $55,000 of grant funding. The 2022 Brandon Spirit Award winners – Randy and Lisa Marso – will also be recognized.

 

VFW Feather Party is Nov. 5

The Brandon VFW’s annual Feather Party is Saturday, Nov. 5. The night includes a turkey dinner with all the trimmings, bingo, cards, raffles and more. A freewill offering will be taken for the dinner. Suggested donation is $10 for adults and $6 for kids under 10. The dinner will be served 5-6:30 p.m. and games begin at 7 p.m.

 

Palisade Lutheran Harvest Fest is Nov. 6

Palisade Lutheran Harvest Fest and Basket and Bucket Drawing is from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6. A freewill donation will be taken for the meal, and $1 tickets may be purchased for a chance to win a basket or a bucket. The drawings will be at 1 p.m. Proceeds from the event will go to the Rock County Food Shelf and Church on the Street.

 

Voter’s Day of Prayer on Nov. 8

Spirit of Truth, 112 E. Annabelle, Brandon, will host a voter’s day of prayer Tuesday, Nov 8.  The sanctuary will be open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. for the community to come in and pray for the nation as citizens across the country cast their ballots.

 

Veterans Day dinner, program in Valley Springs

The Charles R. Doman American Legion Post 131 in Valley Springs will host its annual Veterans Day dinner and program on Friday, Nov. 11. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and the program is at 7 p.m. The guest speaker is yet to be announced.

The meal will be prepared by Tony’s Catering and the Auxiliary will serve cake and ice cream.

The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children 11 years old and younger.

 

Brandon Sr. Citizens

The Brandon Senior Citizens meet at 12:30 p.m. every Thursday at the VFW for Bingo, cards socializing and coffee. All seniors are welcome.
