BVSD Early Childhood Developmental Screening
Brandon Valley School District will conduct their annual Early Childhood Screening Developmental Screening from 8:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, at Brandon Elementary. Screenings are free for all children from birth to age 4 who live in the BVSD. South Dakota School for the Deaf will also provide free hearing screenings at this time.

Children who are eligible for kindergarten in the fall of 2018 will be screened March 5-9, 2018. 
 
Second semester bus passes due
Bus passes for the second semester of the Brandon Valley school year are due Friday, Jan. 12.

Last chance to submit BV Athletic Hall of Fame nominations
Nominations to the Brandon Valley Athletic Hall of Fame are being accepted through Dec. 31. Nomination forms can be downloaded from the BV High School website under the Booster Club tab, by emailing program chairman Bob Logan at bob@georgeboom.com or calling him at (605) 261-1308.
 
Ed Polzine Cancer Fund Game Feed
If you’re a fan of the BV Optimist’s Wild Game Feed, you’ll want to pencil in the Ed Polzine Cancer Fund Game Feed, which is planned for Saturday, Feb. 3 at Three Rivers VFW Post 4726 in Brandon.
Donations of wild game and silent and live auction items are now being accepted.

Legion Auxiliary plans kids’ bingo event for school supplies
Valley Springs American Legion #131 has planned “New Year, New Supplies” Bingo event for the kids at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29.
