Susan M. Shea, 41

Susan Marie Shea, 41, of Brandon, S.D., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019. Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, at Brandon Lutheran Church, with burial at the Brandon Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. 

Susan Marie Clausen, daughter of Marlin “Moe” and Marietta (Casper) Clausen, was born Jan. 24, 1978, in Worthington, Minn. She grew up in Brewster, Minn., and graduated from Brewster-Round Lake High School in 1997.

Susan then attended cosmetology school and later married Kory Shea. The couple was blessed with four children, Alexis, MaKayla, Kyler and Tayden.

Susan worked for several years at Wells Fargo. After Tayden’s birth, she decided to work from home so she could be with her children. Susan loved selling Norwex, Thirty-one and Melaleuca, as she was always into something. She also worked part-time in the lunchroom at one of the Brandon Valley Schools.

Susan will be missed by many. She had a heart of gold and cherished her family, especially loving and taking care of her children. She would do anything for them.

Survivors include three children, Alexis, Kyler and Tayden Shea; her parents, Moe and Marietta Clausen, Brewster, Minn.; two brothers, Tim Clausen and his wife, Lindsay and family, Fulda, Minn., Tom Clausen and his wife, Johanna and family, Springfield, Ohio; a sister, Krista Clausen and family, also of Brewster; her grandmother, Ruth Casper, Brewster; many beloved nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Susan was preceded in death by her daughter, MaKayla; her grandparents, Samuel Casper and John W. and Berniece Clausen.
