Supe's On: Work begins now to set new boundaries

The Brandon Valley School District is currently engaged in a collaborative process to establish elementary school boundaries for the 2021-22 school year. This is necessary with the addition of our new elementary school located at 3401 S. Sparta Ave. In addition to the development of boundaries for next school year, the committee is also developing a boundary concept for our long-range facility plan, BV VISION 2040. The committee is made up of members from each respective elementary school.
 
Brandon Valley Elementary School Boundary Committee Process - General Timeline
 
• Sept. 21 – Elementary Boundary Line Committee Meeting 
• Oct. 5 – Elementary Boundary Line Committee Meeting 
• Oct. 6 – FAE PTA Meeting 
• Oct. 8 – Board Transportation Committee  
• Oct. 12 – Board of Education Report / Update 
• Oct.15 – Informational Meeting for Families
• Oct. 26 – Board of Education Report / Update 
• Nov. 9 – (Potential) Board of Education Approval
 
Minimizing student impact, proactively managing student growth, and establishing boundaries aligned to future growth are the objectives of the Brandon Valley School District Elementary Boundary Line Committee process. Through the process, we will work to develop elementary boundaries for 2020-21 school year and develop a preliminary boundary concept for BV VISION 2040.
 
The Elementary Boundary Line Informational Meeting will be held for families on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. in the Brandon Valley High School Performing Arts Center.
