Supe's On: Nominate a teacher who makes a difference

By:
Dr. Jarod Larson, Superintendent of Brandon Valley School District

Do you know a teacher who is inspiring, devoted, and making a difference?

Research demonstrates the quality of teacher is the number one factor, a school can control, that impacts student achievement. If your child’s teacher goes above and beyond and deserves a little extra recognition, I would ask you to consider submitting a nomination for our “District Teacher of the Year” award. Parents, students, and staff are encouraged to nominate a Brandon Valley teacher, who has taught in the Brandon Valley School District for at least five years, to receive this award. Nomination forms may be obtained from any school office, our website, or the Brandon Valley Administration Center.

A nomination form must be submitted with two letters of recommendation and returned no later than Monday, April 4. A selection committee consisting of representatives from BV schools, community members, and parents will review the applications. This committee will select the 2022 Teacher of the Year from the top three finalists. All candidates will be recognized at the Brandon Valley Employee Recognition Banquet on Tuesday, May 3.

Your time and support of an outstanding educator is greatly appreciated!
