Supe's On: A letter to BV's class of 2020

By:
Dr. Jarod Larson, BVSD superintendent

Dear BVHS Class of 2020,

With May 13 serving as officially your last day, congratulations on the completion of high school. Undoubtedly, your senior year has not gone as planned. However, you have risen above the challenges and completed the requirements set before you. Words cannot express the sadness I have for all the lost opportunities your class has endured, nor the tremendous pride I have for the way in which you have responded.

In this life, adversity is inevitable, but challenges do not have to keep you from achieving your intended goals and finding the success you seek. Perhaps Jimmy Dean said it best, “I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.”

Wherever your next step finds you, take with you the knowledge and many valuable traits and skills which you have acquired over your years as a Lynx. Your experience has prepared you to apply your knowledge and skills, overcome adversity, and serve as a productive citizen of our society. Whatever you do – do it “The Lynx Way”!

Be bold, be courageous, be your best!

AND – hopefully, we will be at Commencement in July!

Go Lynx!
