A family vacation for the Buck family has become a yearly tradition, and this year, the clan ventured to the Black Hills for several days. Work continues on Veteran’s Parkway near I-90 exit 402 last week. According to the South Dakota Department of Transportation, SDDOT has opened the new 60th Street as well as Veteran’s Parkway (Hwy. 100) between I-90 and the new 60th Street. Lane closures will be in place to allow the contractor to complete remaining work in the center median and behind the curb in the outside lanes. Aiden Moots, 9, of Brandon, achieved a feat many golfers dream of but never achieve: a hole-in-one. The youngster, golfing with his mom, Kimberly, and grandpa, George Tague, used a 7-iron on the 91-yard hole five at Hidden Valley Golf Course on Saturday, July 18.
Representing the all-volunteer group, the Ed Polzine Wild Game Feed, Ang Riedel (right) gifts $1,000 to Mason and Bre Eichelberg. The donation will financially assist the Eichelbergs as they recover from their respective surgeries as kidney donor and transplant recipient. (See page 1 for story.) The Ed Polzine Wild Game Feed, which is always held the Saturday evening before the Super Bowl at the Brandon VFW for the past 36 years, raises funds for children and adults who are battling cancer and other life-impacting illnesses.
