Senior Spotlight: Morgan Thompson

One of Morgan Thompson’s best memories of high school dates back to 2017. It was the very first time a Lady Lynx soccer team made it all the way to the state semifinals.

And she was part of the team.

Along with soccer, this 2019 senior also participates in track and field, Mu Alpha Theta and National Honor Society at Brandon Valley. Outside the walls of BVHS, Eric and Dana Thompson’s daughter is involved in discipleship at Risen Savior and Feeding South Dakota.

Thompson is headed to South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, where she will major in Biomedical Engineering and possibly minor in Spanish.

Among her favorites are the Pittsburgh Steelers, the color red, the TV show Stranger Things, and the music of Mötley Crüe. Her top choice in the school cafeteria is Italian dunkers, and she’d choose to have lunch with Freddie Mercury.

“He didn’t conform to the public’s eye of who he should be. He knew what he was going to accomplish at a young age and didn’t let anyone say otherwise,” she said.
