Senior Spotlight: Kayleah Ackerman

Kayleah Ackerman
Sports and the arts have helped to shape Kayleah Ackerman into the 2019 Brandon Valley High School senior she is today.
At BVHS, Kayleah participated in the Marching Lynx and concert band, both for three years. She played volleyball her freshman year and has served as the manager for the Lynx wrestling program the past three seasons.
Kayleah has also achieved National Honor Society status, played club softball and works part-time at the movie theater in Dawley Farms.
This fall, Marv and Jen Ackerman’s daughter plans to attend Augustana University to pursue a degree in nursing.
Her choice to have lunch with is her grandpa Marv.
“He has always been a constant source of support for me and has been such a role model to me my entire life. I love spending time with him, so I would absolutely go to lunch any day with him,” she shares.
Her favorite lunch from the school cafeteria is chicken alfredo. Also, among her favorites are the Minnesota Twins, the color purple, TV show Grey’s Anatomy, and the music of Mac Miller and Panic! At the Disco.
Some of her best memories come from her senior year: Winning state football and girls and boys state basketball, and her senior year prom.
