Senior Spotlight: Jorey Sorenson

It’s very likely that you’ll find football cleats, wrestling and track shoes in Jorey Sorenson’s closet.

And rightly so, as this 2020 Brandon Valley High School senior has excelled in all three sports.

The son of Jeff and Siri Sorenson plans to attend Augustana University to major in exercise science in preparation for a career in physical therapy.

Along with his involvement in Lynx sports, Jorey is a member of his church youth group. 

If possible, he chooses to have lunch with retired NFL punter Pat McAfee, because in his view, “He is a hilarious guy and would be fun to hang out with.”

Among Jorey’s list of favorites are pizza crunchers, his top pick from the school lunch room, the Green Bay Packers, the color white and TV show The Family Guy, and rapper Travis Scott.

To date, his fondest memory of Brandon Valley High School is wrestling in the finals of the Floyd Farrand Invite and a friendly game of rock, paper, scissors.
