Senior Spotlight: Emily Muhs

Long after Emily Muhs leaves the halls of Brandon Valley High, she’ll long remember all of the hoopla and fun of homecoming Olympics.

This 2020 BVHS grad has kicked up her heels as a member of the BV Dance Team. She’s also involved in Spanish Club. Outside the walls of BVHS, she’s been a fixture at Dynamic Cheer and Dance for much of her young life, 14 years.

Emily’s career dream is to become a pediatric oncologist, a physician who diagnoses and treats children with cancer. She’ll begin prepping for that career at the University of South Dakota.

Jennifer Lopez is Emily’s pick to have lunch with.

“She inspires me to be a better dancer and a better woman. She is strong and fierce, yet classy all at the same time, and she has had a large impact on my life,” says the daughter of Sherrie Muhs and Jon Muhs.

A few of Emily’s favorites are popcorn chicken from the school cafeteria, the color yellow, the TV show Grey’s Anatomy, and Harry Styles is her choice of celebrity.
