Senior Spotlight: Ashton Swift

Cheering for the Lynx boys basketball team this season ranks as one of the best memories Ashton Swift will leave Brandon Valley High School with.

Especially, since the team captured the state prize.

Along with cheerleading, Ashton has been active in Best Buddies, Teens as Teachers, National Honor Society and Special Olympics.

She’s equally busy outside the walls of BVHS, too, where she takes part in mission trips, danced with a competitive team for nine years, serves as a youth cheer coach and dance teacher.

The daughter of Mark and Sherry Swift plans to attend South Dakota State to pursue a degree in occupational therapy. She also plans to try out for the SDSU Dance Team.

The Oklahoma Sooners college football team, Dallas Mavericks and Texas Rangers are among her top sports teams, and she likes the color blue best.
