Since 2014, the South Dakota Prairie Rose Community Fund has granted $362,400 in community enhancement grants/scholarships. Last week, PRCF added to the tally, awarding nearly $40,000 in grants and scholarships.

Funding for the PRCF is provided by Prairie Rose Wind, LLC, owner of Prairie Rose Wind Farm, which is a subsidiary of Enel Green Power North America. Grants and scholarships are awarded within the townships of Logan, Highland, Edison and Brandon.

PRCF board members are Steven Munk, president; Steve Howe, vice president; Angela Bly, secretary; Wayne Liester, treasurer; tom Elverson, Tom Brown, John Richard Weir, Dale Zweep and Mike Siemonsma.

“It is truly a joy for the Board to provide these funds to our communities for education, community enhancement and safety” shared Munk.
