O’Gorman Knights defeat BV in three to stay undefeated

Coming off a spirited 3-2 victory against Eastern South Dakota Conference rival Harrisburg, the Lady Lynx ran into their toughest test of the season to date, top-seeded and undefeated Sioux Falls O’Gorman.
 
The end result was a quick three-set match that went the way of the visiting Knights, 21-25, 10-25, 15-25.
 
For the Lynx, Brooklyn Grage pounded out six kills and Hannah Parliament had one solo block. Liz Kopp contributed in a variety of ways: 12 digs, 12 assists and one ace serve. Abby Finch also produced a dozen digs and Jenna Stengel had a single ace serve. 
 
The Knights’ net attack was guided by Bergen Reilly’s 24 kills. Grace Bengford added seven. Raegen Reilly provided 22 set assists and Haley Hoffman recorded a trio of ace serves.
 
The Lynx did have some success in the underclassmen ranks against the Knights. While the JV squad lost 2-0, BV’s sophomore and freshmen A teams both won by 2-1 margins, and the freshmen B team won 2-0.
 
BV’s (5-3) next test is a home match this Thursday against ESD foe, the Watertown Arrows.
