Dirt will be turned on Brandon’s new United States Post Office this week.
Groundbreaking ceremonies are scheduled for 3 p.m. Aug. 22 at the building site.
The new location, a 7,200-square foot structure, will be built at 1420 E. Aspen Blvd. The building’s size is a substantial increase in size from its current 2,900 square-foot building on Holly Boulevard.
“We are excited to see this building project launch, said Postmaster Kelley Lehfeldt. “We’ve served this community at the Brandon Post Office since 1955 through every situation and we are proud to continue to serve the public.”
Taking part in today’s ground breaking are Lehfeldt, Kim Cerwick, CEO/president of the Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Larry Beesley, Douglas Stephens, Dakotas district manager, and Ross Petrick, CEO of Alliance Communications.
