Mary Lou Jackels, 92, of Sioux Falls, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 20, 2023, under care of hospice. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2023, at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2023, also at the funeral home. Graveside services will begin at noon Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Bethany Lutheran Cemetery in Storden, Minn.
She is survived by her children, Jeff (Linda) Jackels of Alcester, David (Patty) Jackels of Sioux Falls, Aimee (Michael) Kizziar of Sacramento, Calif., and Julie (Guy) Faber of Brandon; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; siblings-in-law, Donna (Skip) Torres of Fontana, Calif., Duane (Carol) Jackels of Winona, Minn., LaVerne (Marlene) Jackels of Storden, Minn., and LeAnn (Art) Steere of Windom, Minn.
